Our Sedation Makes FMRs Seamless
Many patients desire FMR that includes procedures like implants but are worried about potential pain during implant placement. Patients throughout Billings and South-Central Montana are reassured by our dentists' training in advanced techniques, including sedation dentistry. We offer three levels of sedation and can adjust them to your specific needs. We offer nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation to ensure that your implant placement and other procedures are as painless and efficient as possible.

An Important Detail Choosing Between FMR and Smile Makeover
Full mouth reconstructions are frequently confused with smile makeovers. The key difference is that smile makeovers exclusively focus on aesthetic improvements, while FMRs are primarily intended to improve oral health and function.
An example of this difference can be seen when comparing crowns to veneers. Crowns cover your whole tooth, protecting what's left of the tooth and restoring its shape. On the other hand, veneers cover the front surface of a tooth, concealing flaws but providing no protection.
Though smile makeovers focus on improving aesthetics, many full mouth reconstruction procedures come with the added benefit of improving your smile and appearance while addressing practical needs. This means our dentists can perform FMR dentistry that has both restorative and cosmetic benefits.
Achieving Health Through Prevention
We prioritize preventative dentistry and treat our patients as partners in their dental journey. Many of our FMR procedures are key to building a foundation for good oral health. Preventative care helps many of our patients avoid the need for more costly and intensive treatment later in life. Protecting your teeth now with an FMR can prevent total tooth loss and the need for dentures down the road.
Patient education is key to prevention. We teach about dental care in ways that are easy to understand so that patients can take care of their teeth and avoid the need for reactive treatment. Understanding their oral health helps our patients feel empowered to make strong, healthy choices. We are always straightforward with our patients and make sure they know exactly what to expect from their FMR.
How Long Does Full Mouth Reconstruction Take?
The simple truth is there is no concrete timeline for an FMR because each patient receives customized treatment. Some FMR procedures can be completed together during a single appointment. Others must be performed over the course of several months, such as dental implants and treatment for dental malocclusion. During your initial consultation, one of our dentists will recommend which procedures are best suited to your needs. They may be able to provide you with a better timeline then.
After each treatment is complete, you will be provided with detailed, easy-to-follow recovery guidelines. Full recovery will take anywhere from a few days to several months, depending on the number and type of procedures performed. By merging several procedures into an FMR, patients can benefit from a shorter treatment and recovery timeline.
The Affordability of Our FMRs
The comprehensive nature of an FMR allows our dentists to work more efficiently than when performing each procedure individually. This can save you money in the long term. We have also taken several steps to help patients better afford their full mouth reconstructions. These include accepting financing through both CareCredit® and LendingClub®.
